Two New Hobbies (as of January 2007)

Following up from my previous post on having NO resolutions this year, I think I did make some without the intention of actually making one at all.

Just an update (and of course for my own reference in the near future):

- I took up TENNIS (lessons)! Now that's an achievement on its own because prior to the plenty explanations, theories and techniques that Bunny kept pouring onto me, I had never thought I could even whack a ball using whatever forehand, backhand or schmackhand. Somehow, I do remember my futile attempt of playing tennis long time ago (ok, 10 years ago), but this time, ha, I'm determined to play that game properly, despite how skinny and frail I might appear.

- We took up YOGA (classes)! Yup. Y-O-G-A. Bunny and I ended up as one of those curious customers who got sucked into signing up with the gym on the day we went for a trial at True. However, it took plenty of persuasion from our side and theirs to agree on a price, which we felt was comfortable and affordable.

After enduring the tormenting negotiation, we signed on the dotted line and came back the next day for our very first attempt at yoga. I think we almost cracked our hips from trying not to giggle too loudly. Ohmmmmmm. I must say though, that yoga is truly beneficial, especially for lazy people like me. I need some stretching exercises, more so than weight-lifting I guess.

I never knew that heading to the gym with your partner could be so fun. Just to sidetrack, I think someone has secretly given us a dose of laughing gas while we were fast asleep, because we seem to be cracking up at the slightest thing we see, hear, do or ...smell. Or maybe I'm just purely and truly happy. =) Hence the fits of tumultuous laughter I experience whenever she's around.

So besides the two new hobbies I've taken up, nothing else has changed. Snores and bores. Bunny was down with stomach flu for the past week and I ended up with a flu and fever afterwards. It's funny how this time round while I was sick, I was actually missing Melbourne. I wasn't missing anyone or anything in particular, just the whole notion of being somewhere else. Perhaps I was tripping from the drugs. *shrugs* We're planning a trip to Perth in September and if budget and time allows, I hope to make a trip to Melbourne then. And when I'm there, I'm going to buy so many Krispy Kreme donuts that the store can just depend on me for profit for the entire day (I love to exaggerate).

*cough*

I swear, if I get to play a proper game of tennis sometime soon, I'll buy each and all of you a tennis ball.
