The start of 2012 has been eventful so far with plenty of hugs, kisses, hellos and goodbyes. A bit of friction in other factions, but nonetheless, memorable and meaningful. A two week break to start the new year is a good way to go.
In a nutshell, January has been a month of:
| A short farewell... |
| A reunion with Papa Lim. |
| The first meeting of the newest addition to the family. |
A reunion with old friends:
| A reunion in Sydney with the girlfriend. |
| And also a reunion with the Simlim family. |
January has also been a month of clear blue skies:
For a few days in January, we experienced country living:
Acacia House B&B at Milton. |
Dressed for the country. |
There has also been an attempt to make contact with animals: |
Not forgetting wedding preparations:
| Decorating the venue with lanterns, lights, and drapes. |
| The bridesmaid insect exterminators. |
Choosing what sort of make-up to wear on the day.
And of course, January is a month of celebration - Moo's big day:
| Moobbit love <3 |
| Pretending it's our own wedding. |
| A beautiful rose from a very talented friend. |
SO nervous during my speech. But at least I successfully made the bride cry.
January has been a month of food!:
| Gelato from Lygon Street. |
| Papa Lim's banana cake. |
| Papa Lim's mutton soup. |
| Papa Lim's chicken rice. |
| Yum cha at Chinatown. |
Scotch fillet steak.
| Chicken with chorizo. |
| Her Krispy Kreme first experience. |
| Pho bo. |
| Papa Lim's ang gu kueh. |
| Dubbed as "Melbourne's best macarons". |
| Lunch at Sydney Fish Market. |
A few excursions here and there:
| Pizza with boccocini cheese and prosciutto. |
| Half Aussie + half supreme pizza. |
| Salmone penne. |
Mushroom scotch fillet.
And then there were a few good byes at the airport too...followed by a reunion and then another good bye.
| Coffee with Papa Lim before flying back to SG. |
| But what to do, life is full of ups and downs. |
