Riding the emotional roller-coaster

I hate this emotional see-saw.

One moment, I'm feeling lovey-dovey, glowing with positivity..."the world's fantastic", I'm healthy, blessed, la-di-da-di-da....

Then someone reminds me of something....and...

SMACK

I feel like I slammed into the ground while skydiving without a parachute.

I'm probably the most negative person to ever walk this planet. Everyone I meet have the same reaction when we end up in a deep conversation: "You're so negative!" or "Gosh, you're quite cynical huh?"

Yes, I am. And I learn to be positive. But people who have known me long enough would know that I'm always clouded by negativity. No matter how I try to remain positive or think optimistically, my glass is always half empty.

Positive energy just seems to bounce off me like light or like a submarine's radar bouncing off the seabed.

How? I need enlightenment.
