As mentioned, a bigger celebration was due - a one-night staycation at Singapore's newest IR. It's not one of the most conducive or quiet retreat one would hope for though.
Upon arriving at MBS hotel, the check-in queue was so long it was almost you were checking-in at an airport and not a hotel. Exclusivity was nil - instead, the place was noisy, crowded and felt almost like a shopping mall instead (think Vivocity). The room was clean and nice, but not impressive for the rates they were charging.
Don't even mention the Skypark. It was PACKED! I felt like I was at Orchard Rd. Tsk. Barely a deck chair was available. It was noisy with kids and tons of public visitors.
Ok, I shall refrain from writing a full-blown critical review of the place now (blame my job).

Lunch at BBQ Box - with glasses?.... |
 |
...or without? |
 |
Chinese BBQ skewers have grown on me. Am competing for "mayorship" there with a fellow colleague. |

Going through one of my presents. |

Ok, the Skypark actually looks more packed than this. |

Acting cool yo! |

Sunset. |

Dinner at db Bistro Moderne. |
 |
Was charged an exorbitant price for a glass of Chambord. I forgot it's not available in Singapore and was imported instead...and I've got two bottles at home. :( |

The Frenchie burger. |
 |
The uber yummy signature original db burger. Beef patty is stuffed with foie gras! |
Another wonderful year indeed - and many more to come.
