Tennis really isn’t an easy game. It’s been months now and I’ve only managed to play just a tad bit better than how I did initially. A lot still needs to be done, especially my service, as I’ve only just been taught how to serve. Grr.
Another thing that really dampens my mood is that the joints at my knees, shoulders and wrists are all loosening up, and I’m feeling the pain each time I climb the stairs or exert a certain part of my body. My joints have been cracking for more than 5 years, and now my knees don’t feel like they belong to me anymore. I’ve bought glucosamine supplements to aid in the regeneration of the cartilage around the joints, so I hope it’ll be less stressed in the future.
We’ll be meeting a guy tonight at Queensway to view a second-hand racket that the coach lends me during lessons (ProKennex Ki 15). If all is well, I might just buy it! And then I won’t have any excuse to not play tennis on weeknights.
This is getting so exciting! And soon to come, I’ll be able to give each of you a furry tennis ball, like what I promised before!
"Who said lefties can't play tennis?"
