Christmas 2007

What better way to spend Christmas than whipping up a feast and unwrapping presents?

Our annual "Christmas Roast Chicken and Gift Unwrapping" affair turned out pretty well. It seemed like less work was required to prepare this year's dinner, maybe because there weren't any baked ham this time round, and only a large chicken to prepare. The rest of the food were pre-made. Such lazy asses we are.

###

Menu

Mixed salad with capsicum, cheese, cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar dressing

Buttered corn and Bunny's fabulous mash

Roast chicken with mixed herbs, garlic, onion and vegetables

Swedish meatballs from Ikea with lingonberries and cream sauce

Mini pizzas and garlic bread (the bottoms got a bit burnt)

Roasted pumpkin, carrots, broccoli, zucchini and yellow peppers

Dessert was a log cake

###

Setting the table

That's me in a pair of shiny Mr. Happy boxers

Of course, the dog would always have a part to play during Christmas

A table full of presents

Taboo from Bunny's brother

Bunny's brother gave us the Singapore version of the Taboo game, which we had an enjoyable time playing that night.

Yes, I agree with Bunny and Zon that we're really getting older because all of us (in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore) spent Christmas indoors and not partying at some overcrowded venue.

A quiet Christmas for us all with plenty of food, presents and chocolate.

Baby's brother was talking bout summer days and it reminds me of how u used to go raves and "hop"... and I've always talked about going to at least 1 rave in my life and I still haven't been to one!! And I am possibly too old for one!?! oh well...

Nah. You're not too old for one! You should go and experience it at least once. Plus you're in Melbourne. It's so easy to go to one.
