Stereophonics - A rockin' great time at Fort Canning Park

Once again, free tickets to a concert and I just tagged along.

Not a great fan of alternative rock (except maybe Radiohead) hence I had no inkling or clue about Stereophonics, except for one of their more popular tracks, "Dakota". Attending a concert in the "great outdoors" is an experience, especially when you're in Singapore because this is the only time when you'll feel that you're NOT in Singapore.

We were late for the concert but it only started at 9+ instead of the stipulated time of 8pm. The opening act was by The Great Spy Experiment, which I happen to think are pretty good. But we missed this.

It was simply great to just chill, listen to rock music, have some beer and coke (the soft drink, la), and enjoy a puff or two (of cigarettes), while sitting on the grass. No, we didn't sit on the grass. We sat on the stone steps instead because both of us think that the grass (and other vegetation) in Singapore is something you won't wanna sit on.

We placed newspapers underneath our bags - our butts could get dirty for all I care, but not our bags!

$10 VB. It aint' cheap here, mate! But we saw a number of people buying carton loads of it!

Chillin'

Is it starting yet? Yawns (No it's not a moon up there, it's the DHL balloon).

Finally!

Zooming in:

This was what we saw most of the time if we sat down. Count the number of khaki berms, if you can.

Now this is what I call a rock concert!

Bunny is all rocked up.

"You can't see me, you can't see me."

Concert has ended and they're beginning to pack up.

Took this chance to take a picture with the stage as the background but the man who helped us with the picture was a bit drunk to hold the camera steady. Hahaha! He probably had a carton of VBs.

Human jam.

As close to the stage as I wanted to get.

I have a goal now - save more money for more concerts and holidays out of S.E. Asia! Woohoo!
