Shopping with Moo

Finally met up with Grace yesterday for dinner and shopping. I told her to meet at Bugis because I wanted to get a bag from Seiyu, but upon reaching there, we realized that Seiyu was closed for the day because of their company’s D&D. Urgh.

We went to grab some dinner at a Japanese restaurant there as we needed the energy for shopping later on. Haha. Two tables had to be combined just for our food. The quality of the food served there wasn’t too bad, but I’ve had better. Grace had a sukiyaki set, whereas mine was the unagi sushi set with noodles and we both shared some sashimi. We bumped into Rudy and Kelly right after stepping out of the restaurant. Grace commented that Rudy now looks Malay due to his tan from golfing. Hahaha.

Foooooood...

Here's Grace in all her glory...

Went shopping after dinner and we wanted to get cheap singlets or tops from This Fashion (urgh). Oh my goodness. The horror upon stepping in. I don’t know what freaking genre of music they were playing; it was not canto-pop, it was some horrible mandarin techno-pop remix. We told each other, “The music is driving me nuts!” or “Urgh, can’t stand the music!” and “Oh my god…” every few minutes while browsing through the clothes rack.

The most hilarious thing happened a while later that will be recorded into my “Memory Museum of Jokes”. When we heard some stupid singer singing “你知道我在等你吗?” techno-fied version, we happened to catch each other’s eyes from almost 3m apart (we were browsing through different clothes racks). I will never forget the look on Grace’s face: I’m-trying-not-to-laugh-but-I-can’t-stand-it-and-I-hope-no-one-sees-me look. But oops, Karen saw it from afar because Karen had rolled her eyeballs and gave the what-kind-of-freaking-crap-are-they-playing look. And we managed to look up and exchange a CAN-YOU-PLEASE-KILL-ME-NOW-TO-SAVE-ME-FROM-SUCH-AGONY look in a split of a second.

Then we both burst out laughing for a whole 5 minutes or so. It was extremely hilarious for the both of us who didn’t know how to ‘appreciate’ the music as much as the salespeople were. Hahaha. We then headed to the many aisles at the market opposite Bugis Junction. I didn’t realize that the place had changed so much, from a few aisles to many aisles of clothings, bags and accessories. Our eyes were so busy once we started shopping around and trying to find good deals. Managed to get a pair of jeans for $29 and she got herself a top for $10. Now that’s what we call a good deal.

After shopping we went to have shaker fries from Maccers. Yummy! Then we started our serious conversation on topics such as: Lovers turning into strangers, the lesbian scene and all its scandals, men and their infidelity, bitching about my ex lover J. and single-hood.

Our feet were killing us by the end of night, but it was a good time out with my Moo/Grace. I can’t wait to see her again over the weekend, looooong weekend.

I still want my bag.
